How to book a GP appointment

All patients requesting a GP assessment will be telephoned first.  Many cases can be managed over the telephone, if you need to be seen or examined the doctor will give you a time to attend surgery

To request a call back appointment you can:

E-mail: Enquiries.W98024@wales.nhs.uk. This is for non-urgent appointments only (not enquiries or emergencies). Any emails sent to this address will only be read in surgery hours (8.00am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday)

GP availability

Please check with reception staff regarding the availability of particular doctors. We will always try to give you an appointment with your doctor of choice. This may not always be possible during holiday periods.

Same day consultations for children under 16 with acute illnesses

We offer same day consultations for all children under the age of 16 presenting with an acute illness.  

Emergency appointments

There is NO choice of doctor for emergency appointments.  Patients requesting an emergency appointment will be required to answer some simple triage questions, the reception staff will pass this information on to the duty GP.

Advance access appointments

We have some appointments that can be made up to 6 weeks in advance. Some of these can be booked via MHOL, please complete downloaded registration form our website.  　

Cancelling appointments

If you have an appointment and you are unable to keep it, please let us know as soon as possible so that it can be offered to another patient.

Missed appointments (did not attend)

If a patient fails to attend a pre-booked appointment on more than one occasions in 12 months, an informal warning letter will be sent to the patient, advising them that a further occurrence could risk removal from the practice.

If the patient fails to attend another appointment, the matter will be discussed at a practice meeting and a majority agreement will be reached as to whether the patient will be removed from the practice list. In which case a formal warning will be issued. Warning letters are valid for a period of 12 months. Removal based on warnings greater than 12 months will be invalid-in this case a further warning and period of grace will be required.
