About us
The Doctors and staff at the Brunswick Health Centre are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred care. We are a GP Training Practice and are passionate about training GPs for the future. We also support Swansea Medical School at undergraduate level.
We run many chronic disease clinics such as asthma and diabetes. In addition we offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal care, postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
You'll find everything you need to know about the practice on this website in addition to a wealth of health-related information. Please have a look around and send us feedback if you like.
Our new home

We are delighted to announce that the practice moved to new premises on Monday 22nd September 2025. We haven't moved very far. Apart from a new logo and improved facilities nothing else has changed. Our name and phone number remain the same. If you already have an appointment booked with us, simply come to the new site.

Our new home is on Phillips Parade road. It has ample parking for staff and visitors along everything you'd expect from a modern health facility.
The building was formerly owned by Swansea Bay University Health Board and had fallen into a state of poor repair. It is historically significant, being the last remaining part of the original Swansea Hospital Site.

The Partnership has made a significant investment to purchase and restore the building. We're extremely grateful to each and every contractor that helped to complete the project on time, this has secured the future of the practice.

Our new address is: Brunswick Health Centre, Phillips Parade, Swansea. SA1 4JL

Meningitis B (MenB) Vaccine
The MenB vaccine is part of the routine childhood vaccination programme and is offered up to the age of 2 years only. Unfortunately, this vaccine is not licensed under the NHS for older children or adults.
The practice is therefore unable to provide the MenB vaccine for older patients, including on a private basis. If you wish to explore this vaccination privately, you may need to contact an alternative provider.
MenACWY Vaccine
The practice can offer the MenACWY vaccine to patients aged 25 years and under who have not previously received it at school. This vaccine helps protect against several strains of meningitis, but does not protect against Meningitis B (MenB). For more detailed information about the MenACWY vaccine, please visit the NHS website: Click Here

Hospital based care - what to do if you have questions
In line with the All Wales General Practice and Health Board Clinical Interface Standards, the responsibility for your care sits with the team that arranged it. If your tests, treatment, or follow-up have been organised by the hospital, the hospital team is responsible for your results and ongoing care. This means you should contact the hospital department (or Consultant's Secretary) directly for results, appointment queries, or updates. Our team will continue to support your general health needs, but specific queries about your hospital care should not be directed to us, this will ensure you get the right information and avoid delays.
